About Miles North

Miles North is the creative project of Billy Strawter Jr.

The name carries something personal. He grew up North. Now he lives in Florida. Somewhere in that distance, between where you are from and where you have landed, is where this music lives. Miles for the road, the movement, the space between. North for origin, for the thing that still orients you even when you are far from it. Together they hold both the journey and the compass.

The music is cinematic. It blends alternative, indie rock, soul, and acoustic textures, rooted in real life and honest reflection. These are songs about searching, becoming, longing, and finding your way through. Not built from performance, but from presence. The kind of truths that are too layered for conversation and too alive to ignore, so they became music instead.

The art comes from the same place. Photographs reworked into abstracted form, color and geometry standing in for the things he has actually seen. The same attention that writes a song about distance will eventually put that distance on paper.

Miles North does not separate the music from the art. Both are made by the same person, for the same reason, to hold something still long enough to understand it.

Not a character. Not a reinvention. Just the most honest version of what was already there.
